Moira and David celebrated had their wedding at Duck Bay Marina on 29th March 2014. Never let it be said that anyone from Newmains doesn’t know how to throw a party! They know how its done.
Duck Bay sits right on the banks of Loch Lomond. its a lovely wee venue that has a very traditional feel about it. The views are also spectacular.
The weather in typical Scotland style wasn’t perfect but the wedding certainly was. The whole day was a never ending series of smiles, tears and laughter.
Why they chose their venue:
“Loch Lomond is such a stunning place and we wanted a small personal wedding. Duck bay marina just seemed perfect”.
Where they first met:
New year celebrating the millennium.
Was it love at first sight?
“Yes. It’s only once in a life time you meet your soul mate”.
How did David propose?
On a family holiday to turkey in June 2003.
Where was the honeymoon:
A months holiday to Cayman Islands , America and Cuba.
Funniest part of the day:
“Letting Brian, our best man, and Alex father of the bride loose with their speeches”.
Most emotional part of the day:
“Just before our vows”.
First dance song:
Ellie Goulding – ‘How Long Will I Love You’ – “The words said it all”.
Something old , something borrowed:
David’s great gran’s lucky penny borrowed from David’s mum Pauline.

My Dress.

My garter.
The best thing about being married:
“It completes our family and we both know every day brings something new. But good or bad we do it together”.
