I was looking forward to this Dalziel park wedding for ages. I’ve known Ewan and his family for many years so I knew this was going to be a cracker.
The big day started at Elaine’s mum’s house. It was absolutely bustling with bridesmaids, makeup and champagne!
Everyone was in good spirits and looking forward to the big wedding. There was a wee accident with a bottle of champagne (as you can see below) which led to some funny but memorable photographs!
Once Elaine was ready she came downstairs and she took everyone’s breath away. She looked stunning. We had time for a few quick photos before I had to dash down to Dalziel Park in time to see the boys. This was the first time Ive done a full wedding at this venue and I was very impressed.
I got there and they were in good form. Ewan and Marc, the best man, fancy themselves as the next generation of chuckle brothers (just need the moustaches boys!) and had everyone laughing all day.
The girls then arrived in a gorgeous big Bentley, stretch limousine before Elaine made her big entrance in the back of a stunning, classic blue Beauford car.
The hall was absolutely full to the brim with friends and family. The cutest flower girl almost stole all the attention but Elaine looked amazing coming down the aisle. We were treated to a brilliant service led by Norrie the registrar and were even treated to a traditional Scottish hand fasting. There were a few tears but plenty laughs as Elaine and Ewan became the new Mr & Mrs Stevenson.
I managed to convince all the guests outside for a huge group photo before we had the traditional group and family shots then some stunning romantic portraits of Elaine and Ewan on the grounds of Dalziel Park. You can see all these below.
It was shaping up to be a fantastic party and the boys kicked things off with some memorable and some ‘off the cuff’ speeches that we wont forget in a hurry!
Everyone had a great dinner and we even had time for some beautiful night shots underneath some fairy lights in the garden. I left the new Mr & Mrs Stevenson dancing the night away looking forward to their new life together.
