Stephanie was married to Lee on Saturday August 10th in St Patricks Church, Shotts and then onto the Bothwell Bridge Hotel for the reception.
I’ve known this couple for many years and it was great fun being their photographer on their big day. Having taken Stephanie’s sisters wedding photos earlier in the year and knowing all the family I knew this was going to be a cracking occasion. They didn’t disappoint!
The day started in Stephanie’s parents house with all the girls getting ready. The house was bustling with make-up and hairspray. They all looked tremendous.I left sharp so I could get to the church and get some photographs of the boys in their kilts.
The wedding service was led by Deacon Henry McKenna who is a close family friend of Stephanie. This was his first wedding but he done a fantastic job.
Stephanie looked absolutely stunning as she came down the aisle and Lee looked as if he had won the lottery. Afterwards the rain came on and normally everyone thinks this ruins the photographs but I like a challenge. I keep lots of umbrellas in the car just in case! We went back into the dark church for some great creative photos and the results speak for themselves.
Once we got down to the hotel the sun had reappeared and we got some very memorable shots of everyone in the hotel gardens. The new Mr & Mrs Woods had the best wedding cake I had seen to date and we had some brilliant speeches. I left them all dancing the night away to ‘Michigan’ wedding band. Wish we could have stayed all night!
