Whats a day this Cruin wedding was. It was one of the most intricately planned days ive had the pleasure of attending!
Firstly, it was off to Clydebank on a wet July morning to see Angela and all the girls getting ready. I was like a detective going through the house getting photos of all the wee details that made the wedding day unique to Angela & Martin. I got some amazing pictures of all the fun going’s on Angela’s parents house before dashing across the country to the spectacular Doune castle for the wedding service.
Doune is the area Martin is from, so was a very fitting place for the wedding ceremony. Also for any movie buffs this was the castle which featured in ‘Monty Python and The Holy Grail’. Inside has all the hallmarks of a traditional scottish wedding. It doesnt get anymore fabulous than getting married in a real Scottish castle! Angela was looking stunning and the service had so many personal touches and music, it was just fab.
Afterwards; even though it was raining; we got some amazing photos around the castle. One of my favourite photos has to be the one featuring Angela, Martin, the castle and his prized classic mini! Love it!
Next we were again on the road to the reception. This was at the stunning Cruin on Loch Lomond. This is a fantastic venue right on the shores of the loch. It has stunning gardens, a picturesque jetty, a lovely log cabin style function room, suits of armour and amazing food. As a nice bonus the sun even decided to make an appearance!
As you can see below, Im really happy with the photos we got on the jetty. I couldnt have asked for a better backdrop!
We were treated to some epic speeches at the dinner. We even had a best man sing his speech! Then for the evnings entertainment Angela and Martin had the biggest wedding band Ive ever seen, Funk Nation – they were excellent!
What a day and what a party. Congratulations again Angela & Martin.
Thanks for looking.
