Alex and Martin had a brilliant winter wedding up in the vu, Bathgate in December 2013.
The weather doesn’t always go to plan, especially in Scotland where its easier to predict the lottery than forecast the weather! After I first met Alexandra & Martin I knew this was going to be a really fun wedding so a wee bit of rain had no chance of putting the dampener’s on their big day.
Once the morning of the wedding came round we first went to a very busy house to see the girls getting ready and enjoying some rolls and sausage with champagne. Alex’s daughter Ariella was already stealing the show looking too cute. Not to be outdone though Alex and the bridesmaids looked fantastic as we then headed out to Bathgate for the service.
A quick drive over the M8 found the vu packed with guests and the boys were patiently waiting on Alex’s big entrance. She looked stunning coming down the aisle with her proud dad and Martin looked very chuffed with himself.
We were treated to a very memorable and personal wedding service, they even to mention a munchy box as part of their vows! (a specialist Scottish dish from indian takeaways). There were many laughs and many tears as they became Mr & Mrs Bradburn.
After the service we went straight to the lovely dinner where we had some brilliant speeches, including a fantastic multimedia experience from the best man who got everyone on their feet before bringing the house down!
Once the dinner was over and with everyone looked fab as we got round to some formal photos and some romantic portraits . The rain even went off a bit allowing us to run outside and get a few night-time pictures with the new Mr & Mrs. Unfortunately I had to leave just as the party was warming up in what would no doubt be a cracking night. It just goes to show it truly is the people who make the day special and not the weather.
